Driving from the Massachusetts Turnpike (Route 90)
If you are heading east towards Boston on route 90 take exit 18 off the turnpike. If you are heading west on the turnpike coming from downtown Boston take exit 20. If you are coming from Logan Airport in Boston, you can take the Ted Williams Tunnel from the airport to get onto route 90 heading west towards exit 20. These exits are both for Cambridge, Allston & Brighton. Follow the signs towards Allston & Brighton. The exit ramp will merge onto Cambridge St, although there is no street sign here. Go about ¾ mile on Cambridge St, then turn left onto Harvard St. There is a restaurant called the Sports Depot at this intersection. Go up Harvard St about one mile, then turn left onto Longwood Ave. There is a Bruegger’s Bagel shop on the corner with a blue awning. The Longwood Inn is located three blocks up from Harvard St. on the right. It is a large yellow house with brown trim at the intersection of Longwood Ave. and Marshal St. There is a small white lighted sign on a lamppost by the sidewalk that says “Longwood Inn”. Parking is located in the rear.
Driving from Interstate 93
From Interstate 93 north or south, take the Storrow Drive exit

Getting Here by Taxi
If you come here by taxi, give the driver the address 123 Longwood Ave. in Brookline. Make sure you tell the driver that you want Brookline and not Boston. Half of Longwood Ave. is in Boston; the rest is in the town of Brookline, which is not a part of the city of Boston. It is a separate town. Since they are two different towns, they each have their own set of house numbers, which do not continue numerically from one to the other. As soon as you cross from Brookline into Boston, the numbers start all over again. There is no 123 Longwood Ave. on the Boston end of the street.
Getting Here by Subway
The Longwood Inn is conveniently located about three blocks from four different subway stops on two different branches of the MBTA’s green line. From downtown Boston, you can take either the C (Cleveland Circle) or D (Riverside) car to get here. The C car goes up the middle of Beacon St. You can get off at the intersections of Kent St., St. Paul St. or Harvard St. (which is called Coolidge Corner), and walk over one or two blocks to Longwood Ave. From Kent St., turn right onto Longwood Ave. and go one block to the inn, which will be on your left. From St. Paul St. or Coolidge Corner, turn left onto Longwood Ave. and walk either one or three blocks respectively to the inn, which will be on your right (see map). You can also take the D line and get off at the Longwood stop, which is above ground on Chapel St. Getting off the car, turn left and go up Chapel St., which runs parallel to the tracks, to where it ends at Longwood Ave. There is a set of traffic lights at this intersection. Turn right onto Longwood Ave. The Longwood Inn is located two blocks from Chapel St. on the left hand side of Longwood Ave.
